I own the first few Stephen Stills solo albums including the amazing Manassas lp, which I consider to be his creative peak. Having said that, I know next to nothing about the songwriter’s career past that point (only that I hadn’t liked the little I had heard). So I a was a little surprised to read in several interviews with Ray Lamontagne where he states Stills’ song *Treetop Flyer as the inspiration for his getting serious about music. Having since heard the song I am really enjoying it — check it out below.
