photo credit (www.luckymadison.com)Last night, The National , exceeded my expectations playing their show at The Troubadour — and I had pretty lofty expectations. Opener, Talkdemonic, were fantastic as well in a Live setting, working up their batch of ambient folk awash in banjos, violins, live drums and laptop beats. I had spent a few weeks with their latest album prior to the show and was curious how they would pull it off. Bravo.
