Aquarium Drunkard

The rumors are indeed true. On Garden Ruin, Calexico move away from their signature Southwestern spaghetti-western tinged sound for a more straight up (indie) pop/rock sound. While I enjoyed the bands past albums, I must say this one is sitting quite nicely with me as well. I do imagine some of the longtime die-hard fans will be upset though– but I’m no die-hard.
