Stereogum’s post from last week got me thinking about underrated film soundtracks…like this one.
The movie Scrapple is a little independent that came out seven or eight years ago, and generated a small buzz with it’s ’70s style cinematography and aesthetics. Though, to me, the real star of the film was the soundtrack. Quite possibly the greatest Summer road-trip album ever, the soundtrack to Scrapple is a mix of obscure ’70s folk, rock, and reggae with original Taj Mahal compositions flavoring it throughout. Seek this soundtrack out.
