Dylan’s latest album Modern Times was released a week ago today, and after nearly a week to digest I can honestly say I am enjoying the hell out of it. I tend to approach albums by rock & roll’s “elder statesmen” with a wee bit of trepidation as you have to wonder just how many brilliant nuggets one artist can churn out after so many years. Well, any fears I held vanished after listening to the second track on the album, the seven minute-plus waltzy lovesong, “Spirit On The Water.” Further proof that Bob Dylan is Americana incarnate. A prime contender for Keys To Me’s running Captain America award.
