I just caught wind of an event that just happened last night in DC. This "Pray for Peace" included performances by Graham Nash, David Crosby, Jackson Browne, and others. A local radio station has pics, video and audio from the event. Check it out at www.idigbig.com.

there's a documentary about joni mitchell which does a nice job portraying that period and the canyon culture. it doesn't go into as much detail as i'd have liked but it's good. you might like it. i saw it on pbs. you could probably google and find it. i share your fascination and love for that laurel canyon late 60s early 70s scene. i love your blog.

So I'm going to get the 1969 self-titled debut after hearing "Guinnevere"

I need another recommendation by the same band.

David Crosby's demo for this track is awesome. Jack Casady's bass is a nice touch. It wqould have made a great Byrds track.
