Spring has sprung, and all that jazz, so Frankel’s dreamy indie-pop charms are well suited for the weather.

Other than the quality of the music itself, all you really need to know is: Frankel is the nom de plume for L.A.’s Michael Orendy, who plays and produces everything on his new LP Lullaby For The Passerby.

Absolutely an artist to watch out for in 2007.

  1. Nice find. How did you come across this guy again? From the stuff you have here, he sounds super rad.

  2. actually, it was via an unsolicited CD submission. very cool.

  3. excellent song writing. it’s beatles with a twist of lemon. Maybe a handful of sour patch kids.
