Je öfter ich den Song anhöre, desto stärker habe ich das Gefühl, dass es absolut stimmig ist, was Oldham hier durchzieht. Mit dünner Stimme, Drumcomputerbeats, Pizzicatostreichern aus dem Synth gegen die Stimmgewalt und geballte Marketingmaschine einer Mariah Carey anzutreten (unterstützt durch Studioflügel und Symphonieorchester) - eine herrliche Idee. Aber zugleich erweist er Mariah Carey damit auch noch einen Dienst, indem er demonstriert, dass in der von ihr (mit-)geschriebenen Schnulze, wenn man sie bis auf die wesentlichen Bestandteile entkleidet, ein wunderbarer Song steckt. Und dass kann ihr tatsächlich niemand wegnehmen.
