Without the lyric sheet they were an indecipherable exercize in pretension, with the lyric sheet they began to be audible but often times still made no logical sense but I loved that record and of course Murmer but not so much Pavement. SM definitely didn't mean he didn't like the song. (I had this conversation with him years ago when our bands crossed tracks.)
