This is great to read about. I always liked Verbena an awful lot and thought they got the shaft, especially on their last album, as far as exposure is concerned. Seeing them on tour for La Musica Negra was one of the loudest concerts I've ever been to in my life. So I'm really looking forward to hearing the full-length of this - I love both these songs.

Just went to a hipster loft party in Williamsburg to see him (O Death followed up with a bombastic set).

I adore the album, yet the crowd was more into drinking pbr than listening to a semi-quiet set...and he didn't play some of the more complicated and personal stuff from the record, (for good reason in my opinion), but it was a pleasure nonetheless.

This album creeps up on you...I have to say it's one of my favorites this year.

You are correct in highly recommending Vice Rag...so infectious.

Glad to see Scotty Bondy getting the attention he deserves. I dig this album and I understand why "blacklaffin" wasn't on it but I'm hoping he releases it in the future.
