I remember when Penn Jillette (from Penn & Teller) mentioned on his radio show that Thurston Moore had the most masculine haircut he had ever seen. His logic was that a woman could look good (or at least socially acceptable) in a mohawk, dreadlocks, mullet, or any other traditionally “male” haircut, but no woman in the world could look good with a Thurston Moore ‘do.
He may be on to something.
