Jeff Tweedy :: Bill Fay’s “Be Not So Fearful”

I Am Trying To Break Your Heart

One more Wilco related post this week. The below track is an MP3 dvd rip of Jeff Tweedy’s cover of Bill Fay’s “Be Not So Fearful” — cribbed straight from the 2004 documentary I Am Trying To Break Your Heart. Fay’s lyrics, paired with the point in the documentary’s narrative, could not have been more appropriate.

“Be not so nervous, Be not so frail. Someone watches you, You won’t fail. Be not so nervous, Be not so frail. Be not so nervous, Be not so frail. Be not so sorry For what you have done. You must forget them now, It’s done. And when you wake up You will find that you can run. Be not so sorry For what you have done. Be not so fearful, Be not so pale. Someone watches you, You won’t leave the rails…” — Bill Fay

  1. Hey I missed this when you posted it. What was my problem?! 🙂
If you get a chance, could you send it my way? You rock. I’ve got a live version of it going up today. GREAT little cover.

  2. I have been scouring the web for this!! Any possible way to repost or send to me? Eternal gratitude if so.
