[...] New Music Friday: Forty-Fifth Edition Another Friday, another post solely devoted to getting new, free music into your Zune. Ready? okletsgo First up this week, Scissorkick posts Stateless, my favorite artist this week. Next up, Times New Viking rocks Cleveland Check out Chromewaves' post (complete with MP3) about Lucky Soul, deeming them the best British debut of the year. Arjan Writes posts a track from new British rockers Ben's Brother, that "will be embraced by fans of James Blunt and Passenger." Are you a fan of James Blunt or Passenger? If so, do you agree? "Cobra-la-la-la-la-la!" Is the headline of this Music for Robots post about Cobra Dukes. I think that just made my week. Also, the MP3 is awesome. Actually, this has inspired a contest. The first person to email citing the person/character who said that quote wins a stack of Zune stickers. 3Hive posts a Jawbox MP3 - fans of punk should be happy about that :) Of Montreal cover Prince's "Purple Rain," continuing in the tradition of - you guessed it - awesome covers that are awesome - get it at at You Ain't No Picasso MOKB posts a GWAR track. Need I say more? Different Kitchen post a Mickey Facts mixtape, for fans of Hip Hop (what's up Adam K) And last but certainly not not-awesome, check out two tracks by The Evens over at Gorilla vs Bear. The Meat Puppets (who played with Nirvana during their MTV unplugged performance) have 3 MP3s at Aquarium Drunkard Stereogum posts Radiohead covering Bjork. Wow. As always, get 5 MP3s from different artists at Spinner And last but certainly not not-awesome, check out two tracks by The Evens over at Gorilla vs Bear. Ok, enjoy the free music and have a great weekend everybody! | Friday, November 09, 2007 5:49 PM | 0 Comments Tags: new music, Zune Marketplace, Friday [...]

"II" is really one of the best albums ever made. Nirvana covering those songs showed how good taste those guys had. Too bad the Puppets had to be with Nirvana in order to play on the MTV. A full half hour of Puppets Unplugged would have killed. Between this and "Sound of Lies" being given star treatment i'm starting to feel like the AQDrunkard is piflering through my Top Ten of all time discs on purpose. Whats next "XO" and "Mighty Joe Moon" maybe "Too Far To Care" or "Still Feel Gone"?
