Ike and Tina together made some of my favorite music of all time, yet the abuse he inflicted on her is enough to want to repress it altogether. People like Dylan or Lennon were certainly flawed as human beings, as spouses and parents as well, but in ways that can be forgiven. Not so with Ike, and it's nearly impossible to move past that and appreciate the music on its own.
