It doesn't hit me over the head like the Stage Names, but I find myself listening to it more intently because of that. Fantastic review and insight on the last track of the Stand-Ins. I did not know that story, and will be listening to it more carefully because of what was written here. It really captures a lot of thoughts I've had about both albums, but I couldn't articulate it as well as you have. I am sharing this review with friends. Great stuff...
