Missed The National on Saturday in lieu of seeing the Black Lips. It was an awesome show. You’re totally right about Doom, though. The sound was pretty awful and, honestly, I wasn’t nuts about his DJ. I like Doom’s recording so much partly because of the samples he uses, and that was pretty few and far between. I left and saw Lindstrom, which was a lot more fun. Hope you had a good weekend.

As long as you have fun that’s all that matters! I’ve seen them three times and each time they were tremendous Make sure you get close enough so you’re within the blast range of the confetti!

Cody – with the Write the Night thing in effect, no promises I’ll recognize all of the Lips songs in order to do something like that. Especially if they’re off of the last few albums. This will be my first time seeing the Lips, so I may just concentrate on enjoying the experience.
