I happened upon this the other day and bookmarked it. If you (like me) have a jones for the early Floyd, with a serious appreciation for Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, then I just made your day and/or week. Alright, off to watch it again.

Thank you. So much. This made my week. Every time I try to sync it up its always just a little bit off and I wonder, what kind of tripping fool that tried this actually got it?

3 | jesselun August 21st, 2009 at 12:39 pmI guess I just don’t know how to travel, but this syncing is way more drippy than trippy. It makes the PF music seem so forced and self-consciously strange, but in a B-movie, overly and artificially dramatic way. So I’ll stick with the original scoring, even if Kubrik just picked up and used whatever happened to be laying around the cutting room.
