"Mercy" being one of those unimpeachable tracks. I hope jbonanno sticks with the story long enough to talk about the amazing singles from the 70's compiled on "Checkin In With Don Covay." Aside from the title track, "I Was Checkin' Out She Was Checkin' In" there's also the dopest song about Muhammad Ali ever written, "Rumble In The Jungle" from 1975's "Hot Blood." I'm glad that Jagger parted ways with his way-too-close Covay vocalisms, both because he developed his own great style, and because by the 70's he couldn't have kept up with Don.
