Self-released earlier this year, Warpaint’s Exquisite Corpse EP has been picked up and re-released by L.A.’s Manimal Vinyl. Say hello to your new favorite late night/early morning go-to album. At five tracks it’s a gauzy acoustic/electric affair reminiscent of So Tonight That I Might See era Mazzy Star if, say, fronted by Chan Marshall. This music sounds as if it were made with Autumn in mind — it’s now mid-October and I cannot recommend this enough.

I’ve been addicted to WarPaint since their Detroit Bar show about a year ago in Costa Mesa. A lot of good bands are playing there before they hit it big.
