What an excellent choice. Mclusky slipped under nearly everyone's radar, and for what reason, I can't tell you. It only took one listen of "Do Dallas" in '02 and myself and friends were converts. I too may have lost the urge to listen to aggressive music sheerly for that property, but Mclusky made it so much FUN with lyrics that were clever, snarky, menacing, and at times, hilarious. What I like so much about them (and Future of the Left) is that they're completely self-aware, and are able to avoid so many of the cliches that heavy acts find themselves falling into. But to say all that fails to acknowledge how good the music is, and it's quite simply outstanding.
