Got back to L.A. last night. The middle of my autumn traveling mix for the rental car was made up of Warpaint’s “Billie Holiday,” The Middle East’s “The Darkest Side,” John Martyn’s “Over The Hill” and the following track by Bennington, VT’s Mountain Man…which is made up of three women. Ideal for the change in colors, and sits perfectly alongside Robin Pecknold’s White Antelope side-project. Look for an upcoming Mountain Man 7″ via Underwater People’s and most likely a live session from CMJ over at Chocolate Bobka to accompany their videos.

I dig this. I just passed through Bennington, Vt., a few weeks ago (Vermont being my locus of soul), and this would’ve suited the terrain nicely.
