Twin Cinema can’t hold a candle to either of its predecessors, Mass Romantic and Electric Version. Not even close. Almost to the point where it was a slight ‘letdown.’ Sorry to be contrarian, but I had to throw that out there. But, will give relistens based solely on your recommendation.

Probably my favourite album of the decade. For me the high point is “The Bleeding Heart Show”, both for Neko’s fabulous vocals and Kurt Dahle’s drumming. If what remained of his drumkit after this session wasn’t shipped off to the Rock’n'Roll Hall Of Fame, there’s not much point in having one.

I still can’t decide on a favourite NP record, though I’ve narrowed it down to Mass Romantic and Twin Cinema. Anyways, The Slow Wonder is terribly underrated. Zumpano, too.
