Just in time for the holidays! Markedly different from the stark I See A Darkness version, MBV just debuted this live rendering of Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy’s “Death To Everyone,” a track that while culled from the same session will not be available on the forthcoming BPB live album Funtown Comedown. Recorded with the Picket Line; out 12/15 via Sea Note/Drag City. photo/mokb

  1. I was one of those 50. It was a great show, I’m so glad he’s releasing it. The show was in the country, not exactly Louisville City limits. Free keg and bottled water. Lots of good people and good musicians around. When I arrived the bassist from Slint was getting out of the pond and I said to myself, this is going to be a great show!

  2. Excellent. Is this from the same show that was mentioned in the New Yorker piece a few months back? Just curious….

  3. John, the show at Funtown was the one mentioned in the New Yorker, but based on what Oscar said, this recording is from a different time. It sounds like the same arrangement from Funtown, but it’s obviously not an outdoor recording (the Funtown show was more or less in a field).
