Great article. The first track, ‘Kissing the Lipless’, seems to embody the changes you speak of, while realizing a new sound altogether as well. The rest of the record takes it from there.

I also notice that you, like me, refer to artists’ output as ‘records’, even though that is nearly a thing of the past. I have never found a better substitute word.
