Whoa. Who is Jamie Liddell? He is just tearing it up at the beginning of this track! Beat's not bad either.

To each his own, I reckon. While I've been enjoying this Record Club record immensely (obsessively, even), I thought this was the weakest and most self-indulgent track yet. I implore readers to dig back further into this record for real, moving beauty: The A cappella "All Come To Meet Her", Feist's funky soul on "Weighted Down", the haunting "War In Peace", the infectious "Little Hands" and throughout, utterly jaw-dropping guitar work by Nels Cline. This was one of my favorite albums of last year, and it's not even complete yet.

@Dan, totally. I used to have a few of the tracks as mp3s, but never bought it. Need to remedy that as this latest beck project has me listening to the original again.

There's also the wonderful "More Oar" tribute to that album that came out in the last decade, with Beck, Tom Waits, and Jay Farrar among the participants.
