
Taken from Confined To Soul, Ike Turner’s 1973 record with the Family Vibes (alternately/previously known as the Kings of Rhythm), “Garbage Man” serves as both an example of Turner at his funkiest and, yes, funniest. It’s worth a listen for the the clavinet work alone…or, as I so eloquently described it to a friend recently, this shit is just ill.
