Ease back. Vintage slice of smooth courtesy of the teenage female vocal trio, Black Velvet. A serious mix of sweet soul vocals juxtaposed with a decidedly funky backing track. Originally released in 1972, all propers to the fourth installment of Dave Godin’s Deep Soul Treasures for the original turn on back in the day (for those interested, Godin’s entire series is great). Seven inch enthusiasts will note Truth & Soul reissued the original 45 mix awhile back along with the b-side, “An Earthquake’s Coming”.
