Strut Records‘ Souljazz Orchestra have a new LP out September 18th, Solidarity — a record the guys previewed a bit when they guest DJ’d the Aquarium Drunkard show from London in June.   27. I would love to get my hands on this. I love your blog and your show. Lately, I’ve been listening to Charles Mingus’s “The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady” on vinyl. Marvin Gaye’s “Trouble Man” doesn’t leave my car much either. And thank you for playing American Analog Set. I’ve never heard of them before. Now they are constantly playing in my car as well.

  31. loving this tune. recently i’ve been listening to the new derrick hodge album, ‘enthusiast’ by siriusmo, hundred waters (excited to see them again, at rootwire fest next week), shigeto, ocotpus project + black moth super rainbow, jackie mittoo, and stuff by eureka the butcher, a side project from marcel rodriguez-lopez, drummer for the mars volta. he produces beats and plays live synth….real intriguing, glitchy, eastern-oriented stuff.
