Provenance: The Pretty Things‘ fifth studio album: Parachute, 1970. No r&b bluesbreakers here — instead, proto new-wave power-pop. Two years out from S.F. Sorrow, “She’s A Lover” finds the band shedding its skin as the decade turned and the seventies began.

  1. Parachute is such a great album. The Pretty Things are kind of under appreciated. I would put their 1960’s output right up there with The Stones, The Yardbirds etc. Nice to see them get a plug on your blog……Guess you can tell they are one of my all-time favorite bands.

  2. thank you beautiful song
