WAVED OUT 2 :: Los Angeles, Sept 25th @ The Echo/Echoplex

Lineup: Dungen, The Entrance Band, Sharon Van Etten, Lord Huron, The Fresh & Onlys, Shannon & The Clams, John Carpenter, Hanni El Khatib, Young Prisms, So Many Wizards, Summer Darling and more….

Last March, following   SXSW, Aquarium Drunkard hosted our first all-ages festival here in Echo Park: WAVED OUT. Named after one of my favorite Robert Pollard solo albums, the fest rounded up, and leaned heavily, on this most current wave of garage and lo-fi tinged rocknroll.   Saturday, September 25th, we’re once again teaming up with out friends at the Echo and Echoplex for WAVED OUT 2. The almighty Dungen are headlining and the support slots were filled out accordingly. In short this is going to be an amazing day/night of music.

For a limited time you can purchase tickets online for TEN DOLLARS a piece. Recession prices for the early birds. Once again we will have the ancillary stage next door at Origami Vinyl, presented by LA Record, food trucks, the Hit + Run t-shirt crew, comedians, and all sort of other goodness TBA.

  1. Sharon Van Etten was added to the bill!! Her new record is in my top 5 favorites of the year. Does anybody know if she will be solo or with a band?

  2. I’ll probably pay ten dollars alone for Dungen in Phoenix next week. this is good to see though. I made a playlist from the mp3s AD posted from the bands that played Waved Out last year that I still play.

  3. Still got to say, the S/T sticks close to my heart. I read about him in the WIRE and had to hunt down the record and was shocked by how, ironically, fresh the sound was.
